A comedy double header at the intimate setting of the Wellington Rooms!

This night features two comedians who are well-known on the comedy circuit for their witty and clever comedy. Geoff Norcott, who has written for Sarah Millican, A League of Their Own, Live at the Apollo and BBC Radio 4, is the master of anecdotal storytelling. As well as being a regular on the circuit and writing scene, Geoff has also featured on The Comedy Store on Comedy Central.

Also playing is Tony Burgess, star of BBC Three Comedy Ideal, and writer for various house-hold names including Lily Savage, Steve Coogan (Paul and Pauline Calf’s Cheese and Ham Sandwich) and Johnny Vegas (the Sony award winning radio comedy Nightclass). Tony has been described as clever and hilarious, and he definitely fits this bill!

Paul Tonkinson, Justin Moorhouse, Howard Read & Tony Vino, 8:00pm –                     Halifax Minster

Four top comedians perform cutting edge stand-up in the Halifax Minster. Watch as they all try not to swear or blaspheme in this unique setting!

The whole evening will be MC’d by Tony Vino, who mixes friendly observational humour with audience interaction and quick witted responses. He’s the perfect MC to keep the evening running smoothly. Tony will introduce Paul Tonkinson, who is noted for his effervescent physicality and skilful impressons, infectious energy and comic reflections on love, family and 21st Century living.

As seen on Phoenix Nights, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Live At The Apollo and heard as a regular on BBC Radio 5 Live’s Fighting Talk, Justin Moorhouse charms the pants off any crowd with his down-to-earth comedy. Last but not least is Howard Read, a comic, writer, animator and actor, best known for being one half of Big Howard, Little Howard on CBBC. Howard has also written for Ross Noble and Ricky Gervais, been nominated for Touborg Musical Comedy Award, and appeared on Sky’s 100 Greatest Celebrity Meltdowns. This is one of his least proud moment, but apparently the one that most people have seen.
