What’s On – Saturday 21 October

It’s a packed day on our first Saturday of the festival!

The Sooty Show, 11:00am & 2:30pm – Victoria Theatre

Sooty Landscape low res

Izzy wizzy let’s get busy! Sooty is back in a brand-new show with guaranteed giggles for the whole family! Direct from CITV, Sooty, Sweep and Soo head into town accompanied by TV’s Richard Cadell.

Mr Slater has put Richard in charge of running the show but nothing is going to plan! Expect magic, music and mayhem with buckets full of audience participation. A spectacular treat for Sooty fans old and new.

Tickets for this event, with two performances at 11:00am & 2:30pm are available via the Victoria Theatre website.

Sara Pascoe ‘Ladsladslads’, 7:30pm & 9:00pm – Victoria Theatre Green Room Bar

Sara is enjoying a year-long, one-woman stag do. From spiritual retreats, city breaks, life drawing classes and football matches – she has been drunk and lonely everywhere.

Following a sell-out live tour of Animal (inspired by her acclaimed book of the same name), the multi award-winning comedian and star of Live at The Apollo, Mock the Week, QI and Taskmaster, returns with a brand-new (best ever) stand-up show.

Tickets for this event, with two performances at 7:30pm & 9:00pm are available via the Victoria Theatre website.

Thermos Museum, 12:30pm, 3:00pm & 6:00pm – Piece Hall

Thermos double tartan

Spend half an hour delving into the thrilling world of the thermos flask in this comedic but also enlightening tour. Visitors are escorted around the museum by the enigmatic and disgruntled tour guide, who may digress a little along the way.

Expect to pick up some important Thermos knowledge in amongst the whimsical stories! This museum tour will also be on Friday 20Sunday 22 & Monday 23 October.

Tickets for this show are free, but please book your interest via the Piece Hall website
